Letting Go of Old Labels
Scripture
Isaiah 43:18: - “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.”
Reflection
Labels can be loud, especially the ones formed in trauma, rejection, or survival seasons. But God doesn’t consult your past to define your future. Sometimes the biggest act of faith is letting go of who you had to be to survive so you can receive who God is forming you to be.
Reflect + Journal
- What old identity or label are you still carrying that no longer fits who you’re becoming?
Sacred Step
Write the label down and cross it out as an act of release. Then write the truth God says instead.
Prayer
Lord, help me release what I used to be so I can fully step into who You’re forming me to be. Amen.
What’s written here was never meant to impress—only to anchor.
