SURRENDER
Surrender is not giving up. It is giving over. This month is an invitation to release our need to control the outcome, know the timeline, understand every decision, fix every person, carry every burden, and force every door.

October's Anchor Scripture
This month begins with trust—not because we understand everything, but because surrender asks us to trust the One who sees what we cannot.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”NIV
Releasing What I Cannot Carry
There comes a time to unclench our hands. For nine months, we've been becoming.
We've built. Grown. Executed. Expanded. Stewarded. Elevated. Produced fruit. Influenced others. Considered what we'll leave behind.
But there comes a point in every journey with God when He asks:
“Will you trust Me with what you've built?”
Surrender is not giving up.
It is giving over.
It is releasing our need to control the outcome, know the timeline, understand every decision, fix every person, carry every burden, and force every door.
October is about unclenching our hands.
Not because we no longer care—but because we finally understand that God can be trusted with what matters to us.
What am I still carrying?
What am I carrying that belongs in God's hands?
Where has control disguised itself as responsibility?
What outcome am I trying to force?
Can I obey without knowing how the story ends?
What would change if I truly trusted God?
The Surrender Journey
Thirty-one days of loosening our grip.We begin by recognizing what we're holding too tightly. From there, we'll release outcomes, learn to trust what we cannot see, and practice living surrendered long after the prayer is over.
Open Your Hands
Before we can surrender something, we have to recognize we're holding it. This week invites us to notice where responsibility has become control, concern has become worry, and desire has become gripping. God isn't asking us to stop caring. He's asking us to trust Him enough to loosen our hands.

Surrender doesn't mean we stop praying, planning, working, or hoping. It means we stop demanding that God answer in the exact way we imagined. This week invites us to release our timelines, expectations, people, unanswered prayers, and desired outcomes while continuing to trust the goodness of God.
Trust What You Cannot See
Surrender becomes especially difficult when we cannot see what God is doing. This part of the journey will meet us in uncertainty, waiting, disappointment, and unanswered prayer.
Live Surrendered
Surrender isn't simply a prayer we pray once. It becomes a way of living. We'll close October by practicing obedience, peace, daily dependence, and the discipline of staying surrendered when we're tempted to pick the burden back up.
“I can care deeply without carrying what belongs to God.”
Return whenever you need to.
