Rooted, Not Rushed

 Scripture

Colossians 2:6–7 - “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”

 Reflection

Rushing often looks like “I should be further by now.” But God’s way is root-first. Roots don’t show, but they hold. When life gets windy, it’s not your speed that keeps you steady, it’s your depth. You’re not behind; you’re being built from the inside out so your future fruit won’t collapse under pressure.

 Reflect + Journal

  • Where have you rushed growth instead of allowing God to root you?

 Sacred Step

Slow one area of your life today and sit with God in it—no multitasking, no rushing.

 Prayer

God, root me deeply in You. I don’t want fast fruit. I want lasting growth. Amen.
